A bit about me
I'm a clinical social worker with a passion for trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming mental health care. My goal is to help you heal and thrive in your relationship with yourself and others.
I work with teenagers aged 15 and above and adults of all ages. I especially love supporting LGBTQ+ young people (and their families) in exploring their identities and navigating stress and life transitions.
I think therapy shouldn't only be a place to talk about the problems you're facing, but also a space to recognize and celebrate your strengths. I use a variety of modalities, all with a "person-centered" approach. This means that I see you as the expert in your life, and we will customize our work together to support your needs and goals.
I became a social worker in part because of my own difficulties as a young adult who struggled to find a trans therapist with availability and who took my insurance, and I wanted to help decrease that barrier for others.
I love learning about all the ways that our brains, bodies, and emotions are connected. I care about social justice, and I'm a deep listener who enjoys supporting others. I am humbly committed to antiracism, and I'm always learning about the ways we can push back against oppression on personal and institutional levels.
