A bit about me

I chose Social Work because of my passion for helping people live their best lives and my commitment to social justice. With over 15 years of experience in this field, I have seen how restoring relationships with ourselves and our loved ones can help us navigate the challenging times we live in.

I believe that we all have an innate ability to grow and learn, and I view my clients as the experts in their own lives. My work is rooted in my values of compassion, empathy, and curiosity. I love the therapeutic process,  educating clients and other professionals, and connecting to our holistic Self.

I am thrilled to offer EMDR, IFS EMDR and Brainspotting therapy, as I particularly love helping people heal from big T and little T trauma. One of my other primary clinical interests is helping people with chronic illness/medical conditions, physical disabilities, and medical trauma. As an amputee also living with a rare chronic medical condition, I can assist others in navigating living with a disability or medical condition in a unique, compassionate way.

Who I work with:

I support individuals, young adults, couples, and other therapists with a focus on:

  • PTSD and Complex PTSD

  • Trauma

  • Medical issues, including limb loss/limb difference, HIV/AIDS, and Hepatitis C

  • 2SLGBTQQIA+, therapist, and helping professional communities

  • Intersectional identities

  • Spirituality

I also offer EMDR Intensives for clients who want to dive deeper into their healing process over a shorter period of time.

I accept all of the practice's insurances listed on the FAQ page.

My approach to therapy

I draw on EMDR, attachment work, somatic strategies, and nervous system-informed care to help you feel more grounded and connected.

We'll use:

  • EMDR

  • IFS Informed EMDR

  • Brainspotting

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Note: Narrative and DBT are no longer standalone modalities that I use, but are used in phases 1 & 2 of EMDR if indicated.

It's not about "fixing" you; it's about understanding you, supporting you, and helping you reconnect with your own inner resources.

Outside of therapy...

When I'm not working, I'm usually recharging by playing with my dog, Lyla, taking improv classes, watching improv with friends, making music playlists, or playing card and board games.

As a human first and therapist second, I know the importance of rest, boundaries, and laughing at memes to get through hard days.
